Home

Lank Farm is a diversified and self-substaining farm that has been family owned and operated for over 150 years.  Established in 1758, before the American Revolution, the farm consists of 300 acres of woods, fields, meadows, and trails.  Located in Kennebunk, Maine and just minutes from the beach, the farm is also just a short walk from Mousam Horse and Saddle Club.  Bordered by the Kennebunk River on the eastern side and woods, fields, trails and a beautiful preserved wetland on the other it is home to a large horseboarding facility, Christmas tree farm and our own third generation sawmill.   We work hard to provide quality equine care and organic products while also recognizing the importance of preserving our farmland and open space for agricultural, environmental and wildlife habitat purposes. We hope it will remain in active farming for many more years to come.

Horseboarding

Lank Farm is an old fashioned family oriented farm.  All breeds, diciplines and ages are welcome. We offer 24 hour supervision and are always on call to care for your horse.  There are two large barns.  The first one was built in 1758 and is home to seven stalls.  This barn maintains an old fashioned feel and is well cared for.  Our newer barn has large12x12 padded stalls, each with a window.  There is also a nice indoor arena.

Each barn has a large pasture and horses are turned out in groups.  Horses are turned out bright and early  in the morning and weather permiting remain outside till dusk.

Mousam Horse and Saddle Club is within walking distance and offers alot of fun activities.

We encourage driving enthusiasts at our farm.  There is always ample opportunity to brush up on driving skills and we hope to offer driving clinics in the near future.

Trailer, buggy, buckboard and sleigh parking always available.

Lank Farm is also home to a large extended family of farm animals.  A small flock of sheep, chickens, and  our own two mischievious haflingers, Riley and Serena.

Visitors Welcome

There are many times during the year to come visit the farm.  Visit our farm stand in the summer months for delicious heirloom tomatoes or just call to arrange for a fun family hayride.   In October we will be offering a Spooky Hayride.  Come for a ride or just to pick a pumpkin. In November and December  come visit to cut your own special Christmas tree fresh from our farm forest.  Our balsam wreaths, garland and swags are made to order. There are horsedrawn sleigh rides, Santa, and lots of hot cider and cookies.
