Lank Farm is a full service boarding facility. Boarding includes daily turnout, flyspraying of your horse in the summer and winter blanketing. Stall cleaning is done every day with sawdust provided. Owners clean stalls and check on all horses at least twice a day. Owners also live and work on premises. Selenium fortified salt blocks are provided in the pasture. Grain and supplements are given 2x per day. Horse owner to provide grain and supplement. We provide ample hay in the summer and winter from our own fields. Round bales are given also in the winter. We will hold your horse for the vet and farrier at no extra charge if given prior notice. Medications are also administered without extra charge. We worm horses every eight weeks with a rotaional wormer. Use of our indoor and outdoor arena and round pen. Miles of trails. Minutes from the beach. Trailers are welcome. $275/month
In the Spring we sponsor a clinic provided by Wells Veterainary Hospital. This is an opportunity to update your horse on immunizations and dental care. Horses must be current on all immunizations and have proof of a negative Coggins within one year of being tested. You may choose to participate in our Spring Clinic or have your own veterainarian come to the farm. We are using Wells Veterainary Hospital for our spring clinic.
Horses must show proof of negative Coggins and current immunizations before arriving on the farm. All horses will be stalled 24 hours upon arrival before being released in their pasture. This is an opportunity for the horse to settle in and become acclimated to their new home. It is also an opportunity to worm, if needed, and to observe for any medical conditions. Most horses appear to welcome this time to settle in and become familiar with the other horses before being shown out to their new pasture.
Boarders are welcome to use their own veterainarians, farriers and trainers or they may choose from a list of those in our area.
Emergency Vet Care. All boarders are asked to sign a release, so that in the event we cannot contact you, your horse may still recieve emergency care. We will make every effort to contact you first.
The farm is comprised of 300 acres that stretch over fields, woods, wetlands (Punkys Swamp),old logging trails, and acres of groomed and mowed Christmas tree fields. There are many, many beautiful areas to explore. When not riding, boarders are welcome to bring their family and friends for a walk or bicycle ride on the farm.
Don't forget to say Hello to our small flock of sheep and Nick our pygmy goat.
The Emmons road which borders the farm on the easternly side is a very pretty old dirt road that winds its way along the Kennebunk River. It is really nice for riding and also connects to the Kennebunk Land Trust.
Kennebunk Beach is just a few miles away and is wonderful for riding.
Mousam Horse and Saddle Club is located across from the farm on the Emmons Road. They offer lots of fun family events which include Western, English and also Driving.
